anti-mimesis is the enemy camp of mimesis, suggesting on its most basic (read: bayyyysick) level, that all expression is an imitation of an expression that preexists it. obvi this calls into question the entire theory of semiotic communication and i'm way too tired to have a one night stand with derrida to learn more. its sunday for heavens sake! so lets just keep it at just that, bayyyysick. this is an image of a matisse painting i saw earlier today. the point of anti-mimetics here dictates that life imitates art far more than art imitates life. as such, lets look at it and lift it. abbie hoffman it up. here we go:
