moonrise kingdom

Wes anderson is  my spirit animal.  His films are sardonic, fashion forward and filled with compulsive behaviors and relatable eccentricities.  Maybe this is painfully cliché.  maybe I will get ridiculed by hipsters far and wide for my pedestrian taste, but i frankly don’t care.  I dig zissou sneakerheads, I hear nico when I get off a bus, I own thee (not two, not one) red berets and I want to wear a yellow robe and say “I will never be your friend, not matter what, ever” followed immediately by a tramp through India with custom Vuitton luggage.  These films are reliable in their nostalgic visual narrative.  Costuming is deliberate and wildly character-driven.  Moonrise kingdom is no exception and its swoon worthy dreamers escape is the bees knees.  getting to my point slowly, it is friday and what we like to do today is take the fashion from a film and find it on friday.  see what i did there? that is alliteration.  you're welcome.  now onto little ms. suzy bishop...
suzy is a rebel who may or may not know what kind of bird she is and she has flown the co-op to rendezvous with her young love sam shakusky.  ah, young love, how are you not sold yet?  suzy is a hip hip lady with saddle shoes and a record player.  she is a voracious reader and she spies on people while wearing cute dresses.  she coordinates dancing in her underwear with her bf the old fashioned way - with a pen on personal stationary.  suzy bishop is half troubled, half misunderstood.  shes shes basically me.  so you want to be just like me?  great choice.  here is how:
